Privacy Policy
FishRuler (fish size measuring and catch logbook) is built with your privacy first. This policy sets out what information the app handles.
FishRuler stores your catch logbook — photos, species, length, location name, notes and date — only on your device. None of it gets sent to us or any outside server; there's no account or sign-up, and the app doesn't talk to any external service. Photos are only ever the ones you choose to add, based on the permission you give to your photo library. Location's never grabbed automatically — the location field is just a plain text name you type in yourself, not GPS coordinates. Measuring uses the camera and the LiDAR sensor, and the video and depth data are processed in real time on your phone purely for measuring; the app never stores or logs that raw feed. You can delete any logged catch from inside the app any time. The only time a catch image leaves your phone is when you deliberately export a catch card through the standard iOS share sheet. FishRuler runs completely offline and contains no advertising SDKs and no analytics tools.
