Features

01

Scan sheet music with your camera (PianoStar Plus)

Take a photo of paper sheet music and AI reads the notes, key signature, time signature, and tempo, turning it into an on-screen score. This feature is part of PianoStar Plus.

02

Just play — scoring starts automatically

No buttons to press. The microphone listens for your piano and recording and scoring begin on their own. PianoStar checks pitch, rhythm, tempo, and expression, then gives you advice.

03

The score follows along as you play

The sheet music scrolls automatically to match where you are in the piece, so you always know where to look.

04

Practice history and gold stars

See your practice days, streaks, and score trends on a calendar and graph. Hit your daily goal and earn a gold star.

05

Parent Mode

Parents can check today's practice time, number of sessions, and average score at a glance.

06

Built-in metronome and demo playback

Keep tempo with the built-in metronome, or listen to a demo performance before you practice.

FAQ

What's free to use?

Practicing, scoring, history, the calendar, and Parent Mode are all free forever with the 6 built-in songs, including Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and Mary Had a Little Lamb.

What does PianoStar Plus add?

PianoStar Plus lets you scan your own paper sheet music with the camera or photos and practise any piece you own. It's an auto-renewing monthly subscription. The exact price for your region is shown on the App Store before you confirm.

How do I cancel?

Open Settings on your iPhone, tap your Apple ID, then Subscriptions, and cancel PianoStar Plus anytime. You'll keep access until the end of the current billing period.

Is the scoring accurate?

PianoStar's AI analyzes pitch, rhythm, tempo, and expression to give helpful feedback, but it isn't a substitute for a music teacher. Use it as a practice guide.

Where does my recorded playing go?

Your performance audio is processed entirely on your device and is never sent to a server.
